Liberating the internet--Ted Talk

In the Ted Talk that we watched, Wael Ghonim talked about the different negative elements about the internet these days.
One of the most main points he talked about are 5 critical challenges that we are facing in today's social media. The first one was that people don't know how to deal with rumors. The rumors are also bias. The second challenge is that we create our own echo chambers. Meaning we only communicate with people we like, and we block someone we don't like. The third challenge is that online discussions quickly turn into angry mobs and arguments. Wael mentioned "It's as if we forget people behind screens are real people." The fourth challenge is that it became really hard to change our opinions. We jump to conclusions, and changing your mind seems like an open invitation for criticism. The fifth conclusion, Wael talks about how "It's as if we are online to talk at each other, not with each other." We never really have deep thoughtful conversations.
Some suggestions that Wael Ghonim mentions is that if we start sharing our true opinions, people will strive to be more thoughtful. Another suggestion is that we must try to find the solution, not the problem,. Additionally, we need to rethink today's social media ecosystem and redesign its experiences to rewaes thoughtfulness and understanding.

What are the top 10 most important inventions in your life? -February missing-

There are a lot of important inventions in my life. Better yet, if you think about it, inventions are what everything is made of. The first important invention is the iphone. I use the phone daily, and I can't function daily without it. The second is the microwave. I have used the microwave so many times in my life, saving me from starvation. I microwaved any kind of food, and voila!, food! The third is the bed. Whoever invented the bed is a genius because I need that cushion-y pile of blankets and pillows each night. The fourth invention is the pipes system. Without pipes, I wouldn't be able to receive water, no one could. Without water, we ultimately die. The fifth important invention is the toothbrush. Although there are many ways to brush your teeth, I don't think any method is as thorough and precise as the toothbrush. Without it, ewe would all reek of decaying breath and teeth. A sixth important invention is the printer. We now don't have to go through the painstaking hours of copying. the 7th is my pencil. The 8th is paper, The 9th is my shoes. Without shoes, I'd be barefoot and bleeding. The last is my furniture.

What digital footprints have I left behind? -February missing blog post-

Some prints I left behind were maybe instagram posts with personal information. Or, I have created trendy hashtags that trended along social media such as twitter. I've also commented on posts. Additionally, I have posted many things that have re-posted. And I posted pictures of me which could be an example of a digital footprint. I posted pictures of other people. simply put, whatever I have posted on social media is a digital footprint. Any personal information can be a digital footprint too.
